Your Neighborhood Florist has committed to Sponsor the 15th Annual Casa Pacifica Wine & Food Festival which will be held June 1st at CSUCI. This will be Your Neighborhood Florist's third year sponsoring the event as the Festival attempts to reach its goal of raising $200,000 to help fill the $2 million gap Casa Pacifica experiences between what it receives in funding and the actual cost of caring for our communities' most vulnerable children. "It's a pleasure to once again help support their spring event", says owner-designer Susie Volkmann. "They do wonderful work with the children; I just wish we could do more." Casa Pacifica provides hope an help for abused, neglected or at-risk children and their families in Santa Barbara and Ventura Counties. Please support the Wine & Food Festival and help the children however you are able.

"We want to provide brides with an actual wedding resource tool", says owner-designer Susie Volkmann. The Floral Albums have been upgraded to provide brides with extensive photo galleries of actual weddings designed by Susie. Now brides are able to get creative ideas of favorite flowers, color schemes and textures from Ventura County's most referred wedding florist. Additionally, the new Spotlight Events pages feature some of Susie's recent events presented in all their floral grandeur as captured by the artistic eye of some of the area's finest wedding photographers. The updated Vendors page features area event service providers with whom Susie is familiar and recommends. "Brides should use the page as their resource guide to the best 805 Ventura County wedding professionals", adds Susie. For those brides still trying to decide on a venue, the new Venues section may be used as another great resource to help brides research the extensive listing of wedding venue and reception sites from Santa Barbara to Malibu. Susie means it when she says, "I would love to be part of your special day!"

October 15, 2007 - Your Neighborhood Florist Spotlight Wedding in YWD Magazine!
Your Wedding Day Magazine has published a three page feature layout of Amy and Jeremy Scott's February 3rd, 2007 wedding at the Westlake Village Inn. "I'm just so pleased to have my work recognized in such a lovely publication", says owner-designer Susie Volkmann. "I'm particularly excited for Amy", adds Susie. "She is an absolute sweetheart. We had such a wonderful time planning the floral details of her special day. She is such a joy." The featured photography is the work of Ryan and Carrie Phillips of Ryan Phillips Photography. "They did an absolutely beautiful job shooting the wedding", says Susie. "I can't wait to work with them again."
